Dr. Sood is a nationally recognized expert on topics pertaining to women’s gastrointestinal health including constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
She received her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, NY where she received the Joshua H. Weiner, M.D. International Health Fellowship Award. She also obtained a masters degree from the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University in NY. Dr. Sood completed her internal medicine training at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, RI and served as a gastroenterological post-doctoral fellow at the North Shore University Hospital, NYU School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY.
She is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Sood is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterology Association and the Connecticut State Medical Society.
Dr. Sood is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and basic Spanish.
